Our 11-14 Sunday school group meets in Gingins every Sunday afternoon. We participate in with the beginning of worship with the congregation then join together to study the Word of God and figure out how to apply it to our lives. This is a space to learn, share and question for our young people, in a safe environment.Read Details
Sherbert is our 14-18(ish) youth group meeting on alternate Saturday evenings, in Nyon or joining with area-wide activities.
We share a meal, play some games and talk about how Jesus can impact our lives and how we impact those around us.
Sherbert also participates in an Easter mission project called Project Compassion, in Romania this year!
Our 11+ Sunday school group meets in Divonne on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sunday mornings. We participate in worship at the beginning of the service then meet together to discuss the Bible and different subjects that are brought up by our youth. This is a space to learn, share and question for our young people, in a safe environment.
For the majority of our services, young people enjoy their own "church" in separate groups (segmented by age). Occasionally, however, we invite young people to join our corporate worship in the form of an All Age Service (or Family Service). We encourage our young people to participate in the service through drama, Bible readings, prayers and music. Details of when these take place can be found in the Worship section on this site.
SAS is our 10-14 youth group that meets on alternate Saturday afternoons, usually in Nyon unless we have a special activity.
We play games, eat some snacks, chat and discover more about Jesus and how to live our lives in his Light.
SAS is a space for our young people to chat, to share, to make friends and feel safe in their expression of emotions and faith.
Our youth ministries include the SAS programme, (Special Activities Scene) for 10 to 14 year olds, Sherbert for 14-19 year olds, as well as the Sherbert Sunday editions for older teens at Gingins, and Chatfaith: a similar discipleship programme for older teens in our Divonne based congregation. Our Youth Worker, Emily Reed, is closely involved in these groups, working alongside members of the congregation.
