QUIZ NIGHT SATURDAY

At last La Côte Quiz Night returned after a few years absence. The last one was before the pandemic.

It was decided that money would be raised for The Lost Food Project. This is a local charity where members from our church volunteer to help out with collection and distribution of food from local supermarkets that is being thrown out. This food is sorted and donated to the needy people in the local community.

Thirteen teams made up of the young, the old and in between answered questions from the obvious to the diabolical.

Quiz master David Bramley, helped out by Peta Tracey, asked the questions – ten sets of ten questions on a wide variety of subjects! Les Bolingbroke did a wonderful job with the screen presentation of the questions and answers.

The evening started with a tasty meal of home made soups with bread and cheese. The wonderful caterers were from La Côte Blokes group.  In the half time break there were some delicious home baked cakes to be had with coffee.

Everyone seemed to have a great time as you can see from the photographs.  We achieved our aims of having a fun social evening with our church family and visitors from the wider local community and we raised a fantastic donation of CHF 2’614,- for The Lost Food Project.
